Jessica C. Roth has spent more than two decades helping New Mexico families navigate some of the hardest transitions of their lives. As the managing partner at Armstrong, Roth, Whitley, Johnstone, LLC, she handles the full range of family law matters, including divorce, custody and visitation, child support, adoption, division of property, and collaborative practice.

Jessica doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to family law, because no two families arrive at her door with the same story. She takes the time to understand what each client actually needs, then builds a strategy around it, whether that means a hard-fought courtroom battle or a collaborative process designed to keep things civil for everyone’s sake, especially the kids.

She earned Board Certification in Family Law from the State Bar of New Mexico in 2013, a credential that required more than 72 hours of additional training along with peer and judicial recommendations from within the New Mexico legal community. In 2015, Super Lawyers named her a Rising Star. Clients have described her as “engaged” and “compassionate,” and more than one has called her “a champion in the courtroom.”

Personal Note

A Connecticut native, Jessica moved to New Mexico with her family after law school and never left. Outside the office, she teaches the Collaborative Family Law seminar as an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law, serves as President of the Board for Serenity Mesa Recovery Center, and maintains a long, largely thankless devotion to the New York Mets. She also loves to travel, ideally somewhere the Mets are not currently losing.
