Bio

I have been licensed to practice law in the State of New Mexico since 2010 and have practiced exclusively in the area of family law.

I handle a wide range of family law cases including divorce, custody, child support, parentage, kinship guardianship, and grandparent visitation cases.

Each client and family is different.  I work hard to develop a working relationship with my clients so I can understand and fully support the individual and unique needs that are present in their case.  I understand that being a litigant in a family law case generally means that person is going through one of the toughest periods of their life.  It is my goal to be able to provide each client with legal knowledge, guidance, and compassion to ensure this very difficult process is as smooth as possible.

I am a second-generation family law attorney here in New Mexico.  My father was an attorney in this community and I began working in his office when I was fourteen.  I have spent many years immersed in the family law environment in this community.

Personal Note

I live with my fiancée, Aaron, and our three dogs, and enjoy shopping and spending time with my Mother, Anne.  I travel to Phoenix, Arizona as often as possible to visit my brother, Michael, and my two nieces.

I love sports – both spectating and playing!  I am an avid golfer and I continue to play volleyball weekly with friends.  I spend much of my time attending live sporting events and am a big supporter of UNM athletics.  Don’t hate me for it, but I am a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.

Community involvement and support is important to me.  I am currently the Immediate Past President of the UNM School of Law Alumni Association and have been recently accepted as a Board Member for the University of New Mexico Alumni Association.  I am a member of the Albuquerque Bar Association and its Board of Directors.  As a personal interest, I am a member of the New Mexico Bowl Executive Committee.  I devote as much time as possible each year to pro bono activities as I can including the Peter H. Johnstone Mediation Day, which was named in honor of my Father.
